Opening Text: Galatians 3:11 (ESV) – ‘Now it is evident that no one is justified before God by the law, for “The righteous shall live by faith.’

The Message

The righteous shall live by faith. That means that it is not about your works. Your works are well important but your hope for today and tomorrow shall be based by your faith. Good works do not make God love you more. God won’t love you any more than He loves you right now. Good works do not make God love you anymore. Because His love is unconditional! He loved you not because you love Him. That means that God did not look at your works before loving you. If that were to be the case Papa God would not have loved you because your works would have meant a filthy rag before Him. But Papa God loved you unconditionally. You cannot increase His love for you. Glory!
You know why we have problems being consistent in a quiet time? It is because you made it become a duty. Anything that becomes a duty in your life you tend to react against and then Satan gives you all kinds of ideas for not doing it. Sometimes Christians observe quite time because they thought God would love them more. They think that will make God to believe that they are more spiritual. Whether you break your health physically or look tattered when you pray and fast that will not make you more holy and loved more by God. You cannot make God love you more like that. In the same vein, you do not read the Bible to change God’s opinion of you. But you read the Bible to change your opinion of God. You read the Bible, pray, worship God so that you change your opinion of God and understand what He’s like. God loves you, cares for you and wants to do more things in your life.

In Galatians 3, St Paul taught the Galatians Christians to live by grace. But after St Paul departed Galatia, some people came in called Judaizers. They taught the Galatians that believing in Christ, plus keeping the Jewish law will make them Christians. Paul, being a very thoughtful person, in v. 3 says “You fools! You foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you?” Who pulled the wool over your eyes? Before your very eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed and crucified. Paul was mad when he wrote Galatians.

St Paul asked the Galatians whether they receive the Spirit by observing the Law or by believing what theyheard.Don’t be deceived, after beginning with the Spirit;do not try to attain your goal by human effort.Don’t allow yourself to suffer so much for nothing. Does God give you the Spirit and work miracles because you observe the Law or because you believe what you heard?” In verse 11 Paul said “Clearly no one is justified by the law because the righteous will live by faith.” It’s all by grace. Papa God wants you to put to work what you have heard (the word). Don’t eat from anyhow table. Concentrate of the truth you are receiving and don’t blend it. Go only for the word.

Remember Grace and works don’t match. It’s like oil and water. You cannot mix them. It’s either you live by grace or you live by works. I encourage you to live by Grace.
